It's Official! Everyone's Wearing Statement Sleeves
It's no secret that we love an outfit with a dabble of difference and the statement sleeve is the style flourish du jour that's captured the imagination of A-listers and style icons alike. The U.S. team called out a subset of the main trend way back in early August and, lo and behold, the long-sleeve look has flourished ever still. What looked at first glance to be a bit of fashion frippery—a trend with a twist of whimsy beloved of our favourite street style peacocks—has outlived the summer and embedded itself into autumn's style subconcious.
Be it the supersized ones seen at Fashion Week (An impractical way to impose a life lived handsfree), an exaggerated bell sleeve or a ruffled, tailored style with cut-outs—there are many ways to work this directional look. Take notes now.

On Hartley: Jacquemus top; Vetement jeans; Louis Vuitton bag; Celine V-Neck Zebra Pumps (£610).
Taking the long-sleeved trend to great new lengths, Natalie Hartley gives her LFW outfit a zero-effort vibe with Vetements jeans and a kitten heel. Copy that.

Doing the trend, only doubly so, Magaret Zhang wears super-long sleeves in a ribbed knit with architectural folds on a dress coat. Genius.

On Pernille: Céline top; Louis Vuitton boots.
Go for sleeves with peek-a-boo layers and wear them with cropped jeans and boots for laid-back sexy. Super blogger, Pernille Teisbaek is your primary source for inspiration here.

On Lakicevic: Ellery top; MiH jeans; Gianvitto Rossi shoes.
Our favourite example of the extreme bell sleeve styled to perfection is by Irina Lakicevic. Your style take-home? Off-set the statement sleeve with luxury leather accessories.

Jaime King couldn't resist the trend either and elevated her look with classic staple accessories.
